Ovulation & Fertility

Identify your most fertile days to increase chances of conception.

Your Fertile Window

--

The most fertile days are usually the 2-3 days before and including ovulation.

How the Fertile Window Works

The fertile window is the time during your menstrual cycle when pregnancy is possible. Sperm can live inside the female body for up to five days, but an egg is only viable for about 12-24 hours after release.

To maximize your chances of conception, it's best to have intercourse during the three days leading up to and including the day of ovulation. Our calculator estimates this by subtracting 14 days (the standard luteal phase length) from your average cycle length.

Conception Tip

Tracking your cervical mucus is a great way to confirm what the calculator says. When you see clear, stretchy mucus (like raw egg whites), you are in your most fertile phase!

Your peak fertility occurs on the day of ovulation and the two days preceding it. Having intercourse during this 3-day window gives you the highest probability of getting pregnant.

We do not recommend using this calculator as a primary form of birth control. Cycles can shift due to stress, illness, or travel, making "calendar-based" contraception unreliable for many women.

Ovulation isn't always on the same day every month. It depends on when your body releases the Luteinizing Hormone (LH). If you're stressed or your sleep is disrupted, your body might delay ovulation.
